This Converse Sneakers project was part of the 'Shoes are Boring' campaign of Christmas, 2012. Playing on the urban phenomenon of sneakers flung over telephone wires, these 100 pairs were fitted with LEDs and sequenced to respond to passer's by at the Truman Brewery in Shoreditch.
The social media response to this public installation was immense. After about 400 Instagram posts in the first few days, we stopped counting. Hell, those sneakers were photogenic!
